Two Types Of Asphalt Shingles
It is important that you choose the proper asphalt shingle for your home.

Fiberglass Shingles
They are lighter because less asphalt is used in manufacturing. They are less expensive, more heat resistance and the feet or notches are less likely to lift
Organic Shingles
The oldest type of asphalt roofing. They consist of recycle paper impregnated with asphalt and compressed under high pressure.
They are more flexible than fiberglass shingles and they are easier to install in cold weather, more tear- resistance than their counterpart and better at hiding imperfections. Because they are heavier, they are more resistant to strong winds, and they withstand changes in temperature better.
Both types have different features (thickness, durability, function). With the increased occurrence of major weather disruptions, such as heavy rain and strong winds, manufacturers have improved their products to make them more resistant to extreme weather conditions.
